Spring in February

The fog engulfed her, as she was embraced in a sphere of jasmine and the light of the full moon. The cold forgotten, she closed her eyes and breathed deeply. For the first time in just about forever, she felt free as if she could finally actually breathe. Half an hour had passed, when her sister shook her out of this trance, it had felt like mere seconds. It was only then that she felt the chill of the brisk winter air and was snapped back to the harsh cold reality of life. In that moment she had decided that if she wanted nothing else, she wanted to be free.
