The Rose Garden
She took a stroll in the rose garden.
The intoxicating scent of roses engulfed her.
They filled her with a sudden joy.
A reminder of her grandparents' home.
Grandma only ever had red roses in her arches.
But this rainbow of colors was somehow invigorating.
Each rose in its own cycle.
The rose garden, she thought,
Where life and death, beauty and pain, all bloom as one.
