Taking a Break
Dear readers,
I require a break. I realized that while doing freelance work, I lose track of days and forget to give myself a weekend. I have not taken any time for myself in the past few weeks. I had a challenging project last week, which I did great on, thank you very much. I entirely reworked a mini-series of books into one book and fixed a lot of the writing. This was very difficult and time-consuming, even though I thoroughly enjoyed the work.
However, I pulled a few all-nighters, forgot to take actual breaks, and am feeling absolutely exhausted. We have been ordering out a lot in the past week, so our nutrition plan and budget have been tossed out of the window. I did not take time to meditate, work out, do any yoga or coloring, or do any of my stress relief techniques. This is one of the issues of being your own boss; you forget that you don’t have anyone to tell you to “Go home. It’ll still be there waiting for you in the morning.”
That being said, this will be my only blog post this week. I need to reevaluate my schedule and get back on track with my budget, health goals, mental health goals, and housework. I wrote about this in my post about burnout HERE; you have to know when you need that break. So this is me realizing I am a bit past due on my need for a break. See you next week!
Thank you for understanding,
